Covering a dynamite territory of very nearly 115 square miles (300sq km), Plitvice Lakes Public Park in Croatia has been an UNESCO World Legacy Site starting around 1979. It's commended for its 16 striking lakes, which are interconnected by a progression of sensational cascades that outpouring down into a beautiful limestone gulch. The encompassing forests are eminent for their natural life, including bears and wolves.
